BBC Radio Performance for Time Eternal

One week today on 5th August Christopher’s latest work for brass band, Time Eternal, will feature on
nine BBC local radio stations including BBC Radio Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Swindon, Jersey and Guernsey. Airing at 7:30pm, the work will form part of Philip Hunt’s weekly programme ‘Sounds of Brass’ fro 7:05pm.

The work, written just under one year ago is a seven minute showcase for brass band, based on the four-note chiming motif of a clock which appears and re-appears throughout the music. The recording is conducted by Dr. Robert Childs and features a sublime flugel horn solo in the second movement from Zoe Hancock, flugel horn with the Black Dyke Band. Tune in!
